Christmas Beauty Princess Poinsettia is a popular semi-evergreen shrub well known as a Christmas ornamental or used as a houseplant.  Its large, very dark green foliage creates a low mound and is topped by large hot pink bracts with creamy centers around tiny flower clusters from winter through spring.  Grows best with bright indirect sun and moist well-drained soils.  Only grows to 2-3ft when potted.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: Low Maintenance.  Stem or root rot may occur if overwatered.  Common pests for houseplants include mites, scale, whitefly, and mealybugs.  While not toxic, the sap can cause irritation especially if allergic to latex.

HOLIDAY CONTAINER CARE: Place containers in a moderately lit room.  Because the decorative containers do not have drainage holes, only a light watering once a week when the top soil is dry is necessary.  If you think you have overwatered, tilt the container into the sink to drain any excess water.  Containers will last 6-8 weeks with proper care. 

It is recommended to repot each plant in its own container 6-8 weeks after receiving your container.  This ensures each plant the longest and healthiest life possible!

As with all stuffed toys, supervision is needed.
I have a 6 month old standard size Golden Doodle who has gone through several raccoon toys. He loves their tails and to make them squeak. He knows the word raccoon, so when the last one “died”, I had to get another. This one is well made and has a magnificent tail. It did not take long, however, for Marvin to amputate two of the raccoon’s feet and pull the stuffing out. Luckily, I was able to get it from him before he swallowed any, and was able to sew up the injuries and return it to him for another round of play. I do not expect more from a stuffed toy, but I do not leave my dog alone with one and accept that supervision is always necessary. This raccoon is charming and when it “dies” I will probably buy it again. Five stars!
