La silla Safari KK47000 es un ejemplo icónico de la ideología de diseño de Kaare Klint. Klint transformó sin esfuerzo un arquetipo histórico en una silla moderna y plegable. Su estudiado diseño es un sello de sofisticación y artesanía pura para los interiores contemporáneos.

La silla Safari KK47000 de Kaare Klint es un perfeccionamiento de las sillas que se llevaron de safari por África un director de cine estadounidense y su esposa. Klint se fijó en ellas en las fotos de la pareja. 

El original presentaba juntas sin cola, montaje sin herramientas y una construcción inteligente que hacía que las juntas se tensaran cuando la silla estaba ocupada, lo que aumentaba su resistencia y estabilidad.

Klint se centró en simplificar, aclarar y perfeccionar la composición de la silla y presentó su diseño definitivo en 1933 en la Exposición del Gremio de Ebanistas de Copenhague.

Aunque inspirada en su predecesora británica, la sofisticada y ligera silla de Klint se define por su característico enfoque sistemático, su fina artesanía, sus proporciones bien concebidas y sus notables efectos materiales.
