Parents often worry about raising kids in a tech-saturated world - the threats of cyberbullying, video game violence, pornography, and sexting may seem inescapable. And while these dangers exist, there is a much more common and subtle way that technology can cause harm: by eroding our attention spans. Focused attention is fundamental to maintaining quality relationships, but our constant interaction with screens and social media is shortening our attention spans - which takes a toll on our personal connections with friends and family and our ability to form real relationships.

Tech Generation: Raising Balanced Kids in a Hyper-Connected World guides parents in teaching their children how to reap the benefits of living in a digital world while also preventing its negative effects. Mike Brooks and Jon Lasser, psychologists with extensive experience working with kids, parents, and teachers, combine cutting-edge research and expertise to create an engaging and helpful guide that emphasizes the importance of the parent-child relationship. They reject an "all or nothing" attitude towards technology, in favor of a balanced approach that neither idealizes nor demonizes the digital. Brooks and Lasser provide strategies for preventing technology from becoming problematic in the first place; steps for addressing problems when they arise; and ways of intervening when problems are out of control. They also discuss the increasingly challenging issue of technology use in schools, and how parents can collaborate with educators when concerns arise over kids' use of technology.

They make your cards look super professional.

I am moving into my new house soon and over the last month I have purchased 5 of these. They make your cards look super professional. I think I have all that I need but if I ever another one, i would buy this one or I would say that I highly recommend this one, and this is coming from the guy who usually never leaves a review for anything but these are awesome.

Lots of defects in construction
Size: 40 Cards Display Case Standard
I bought two of these, and at the time of writing this review, currently I've only loaded one with graded cards. First thing, the appearance looks decent, though some minor cosmetic issues here and there on the wood. After I got the display mounted on the wall, I started putting in the graded cards I wanted to display, and at first everything was going well; until I got to the 4 row. I noticed the first card I placed was wobbly, and would lean to the right. I looked at the card case, and figured it must be the case itself, until I put in the 3rd & 4th cards, and they to were wobbly, I ran my finger where the card sit and noticed either chipped wood, or excess glue, which prevent the cards from sitting flush against the rail. I continued to insert more cards, and one the bottom row, I noticed right away that there was a spacing issue between the 4th and 5th rows, and that the board between the two rows is bowed downward. I put a level on it and verified... which absolutely is is bowed. NOT COOL! Let's see how the return process goes now...

Buy if you collect cards and want to display
Size: 40 Cards Display Case Standard
Arrived as pictured. Very nice display case for baseball cards or whichever types of cards collected. Gifted to husband who collects baseball cards. Hold quite a bit of cards. Mounted on wall just fine. Glass is clear and we put a light strip on the inside, which added to it. Bought two of these.
