The Tamiya 1/35 PBR31 Mk.II Pibber (35150) reproduces the iconic US Navy Patrol Boat River that became synonymous with the Vietnam War — the flat-bottomed fibreglass craft that patrolled the rivers and waterways of South Vietnam on Operation Game Warden. Armed with twin .50 calibre machine guns fore and aft and a 40mm grenade launcher amidships, the PBR was fast, manoeuvrable, and formidably armed for its size. It was immortalised in the film Apocalypse Now.
