Did mushroom tea kick-start ancient Greek philosophy? Was Alice's Adventures in Wonderland a thinly veiled psychedelic mushroom odyssey? Is Santa Claus really a "magic mushroom" in disguise? Psychedelic mushrooms reappeared on the cultural landscape only fifty years ago, but have since become the subject of many folktales and legends. In Shroom, Andy Letcher takes a critical and humorous look at how hallucinogenic mushrooms, once shunned in the West as the most pernicious of poisons, came to be such a popular illicit drug.

This entertaining book chronicles the history of the psychedelic mushroom, from its use by the Aztecs of Central America and the tribes of Siberia to its reappearance on the cultural landscape in the modern era. Informative, lively, and impeccably researched, Shroom is a unique and engaging exploration of this most extraordinary of psychedelics.

Andy Letcher is a freelance writer, lecturer and musician living in Oxford, England. He has two doctorates: the first in ecology from Oxford University, the second in religious/cultural studies from King Alfred's College, Winchester. During the 1990s he lived in a tree house for three months while protesting against the Newbury Bypass and toured the British festival circuit playing in a variety of psychedelic bands. Today he sings and plays the mandolin and English bagpipes in his own acid folk group, Telling the Bees. Shroom is his first book.

"Letcher has contributed a delightful, journalistic addition to the genre known as trip lit." -- New York Times Book Review

Awesome, portable room divider for larger rooms
Color: Black, Color: Black
I chose this room divider to use in my son's room that also serves as my home office! It is 72" x 72" in size, so it truly blocks out the other side of the room for optimal privacy. Once it's assembled, it's mildly sturdy - as long as you can bet both ends with the "feet" in line with the ground. I wish that the framework poles had more of an interlocking system so that the divider was easier to erect. I assembled this on carpet, so I had some issues getting the divider to stop moving. It takes a lot of work to set up, as it is massive, so definitely have someone help you. I would suggest adding weights of some sort to the feet of this divider to keep it from shifting. I ended up leaning mine against a bookcase shelf so it wouldn't lean. All and all, this is a great product if you are looking to make a room multipurpose.

As described
Color: Black
Light weight, easy to put together and you can disconnect the ends and just roll the whole thing nice and tight for quick out of the way storage. Pretty sturdy, doesn't fall over if you bump into it, you could use it outside but if there's a lot of light you can see through a tiny bit if you're really close but I only tested this indoors so not sure about patio types

Flat Plug = Game Changer
Size: 6 Ft(2 prong plug), Color: Black
This is exactly what I needed to clean up my space. The flat plug sits flush against the wall, the long cord gives flexibility, and having multiple outlets + USB ports keeps everything in one place without the mess. It’s a 3 to 2 plug for homes that the electrical hasn’t been updated to 3 prong plugs. It feels solid, not cheap, and the surge protection adds that extra peace of mind. Perfect for a clean, organized setup that actually works.
