Elephant Ears are distinctive perennials grown for their broad and colorful foliage.  The huge arrowhead shaped leaves come in various shades of green and are often molted or blotched with shades of red, pink, white or combined and has distinctive colored veining.  Grows best in part sun with rich, well-drained acidic soils.  

MAINTENANCE NEEDS:   Low maintenance plant.  Keep soils consistently moist.  Dig up after foliage dieback or first frost and bring in to overwinter if in zones lower than 8.  No serious pests or disease issues.  Foliage is fragile, so protect from winds and watch for slugs.

LANDSCAPE USES:  Accents or Group Plantings, Borders, Woodland Gardens, Foundation Plantings, Indoor Plants and Containers.
