The landmark New York Times best seller that reveals how the explosion of sugar in our diets has created an obesity epidemic, and what we can do to save ourselves.

Robert Lustig is at the forefront of war against sugar -- showing us that it's toxic, it's addictive, and it's everywhere because the food companies want it to be. His 90-minute YouTube video "Sugar: The Bitter Truth" has been viewed more than 7 million times. Now, in this landmark book, he documents the science and the politics that have led to personal misery and public crisis -- the pandemic of obesity and chronic disease--over the last thirty years.

In the late 1970s, when the U.S. government declared that we needed to get the fat out of our diets, the food industry responded by pumping in more sugar to make food more palatable (and more salable), and by removing the fiber to make food last longer on the shelf. The result has been a perfect storm for our health, disastrously altering our biochemistry to make us think we're starving, drive our eating habits out of our control, and turn us into couch potatoes. If we cannot control how we eat, it's because of the catastrophic excess of sugar in our diet--the resulting hormonal imbalances have rewired our brains

To help us lose weight and recover our health, Lustig presents strategies we can each use to readjust the key hormones that regulate hunger, reward, and stress, as well as societal strategies to improve the health of the next generation. With scientific rigor and even a little humor, Fat Chance categorically proves that "a calorie is not a calorie," and takes that knowledge to its logical conclusion--an overhaul of the global food system.

Durable and great value
Color: Paw Print, Size: 8 inches
Best thing we ever bought our Frenchie. It keeps him busy and he gets a great workout in. The tabs make it easier and for me to grab and throw for him. They also allow him to grab them and run with the ball. Only thing he hasn't destroys. Very durable and easy to inflate with enclosed pump.

Soccer pups
Color: Green-M
This one is a must toy for the pup who loves to chase balls and chew. I bought one for our pup and our daughter's pup. Both have a blast with it and so do the adults. The only improvement I would make is the straps need to be more durable- they haven't frayed which is good for the pup who likes to chew everything, but some have torn. The ball itself has stayed intact though; its fairly bouncy too; which makes for fun times

My Great Dane loves this ball! It is sturdy and fun for her; she can pick it up by the tabs as well as grab the whole ball.

Great toy:) but doesn't last long
Color: Green-M
This ball was actually really great!. I bought a few different toy balls for our puppy to play with and Aka (our puppy) found this one to be the best. Aka loves carrying things with his mouth. I also think he found it enjoyable, with all the pull tabs, to carry this ball around instead of trying to fit it in his mouth. I waited around 2 weeks to write this since that's how long it took Aka to destroy the ball:) At least it wasn't within the first day. We have a bigger dog an American Bulldog that's about 90lbs and he punctured this ball within the first day but it held up for a little. It's the same as a soccer ball really, not super tough and if you have dogs with big bite forces that are heavy chewers they'll destroy this so fast! But i like the design of this toy and I think it made a great toy while it lasted! It did deflate when it got punctured and held some air for about a week. With constant play it deflated completely after that. It was also the same size as a soccer ball.
