These fifty-two poems bring to full life the "refreshing iconoclasms" Rita Dove so admired in Lux's earlier work. His voice is plainspoken but moody, humorous and edgy, and ever surprising. These are philosophical poems that ask questions about language and intention, about the sometimes untidy connections between the human and natural worlds. In the poem "Terminal Lake," Lux undermines notions of benign nature, finding dark currents beneath the surface: "it's a huge black coin, / it's as if the real lake is drained / and this lake is the drain: gaping, language- / less, suck- and sinkhole." In the ominous "Render, Render," the narrator asks us to consider a concentration of the essences of our lives: all that is physical, spiritual, remembered, and dreamed for, melded together to make the messy self we present to the world. Lux's voice is intelligent without being bookish, urgent and unrelentingly evocative. He has long been a strong advocate for the relevance of poetry in American culture. The Los Angeles Times praises Lux for his "compelling rhythms, his biting irony, and his steady devotion to a craft that often seems thankless." Excellent replacement blades

Fit my 2023 Mazda CX-30 perfectly. Challenging removing the original Mazda front blades. Very easy installing these new blades. I had to remove the rear wiper arm to install the new rear blade. first, lift the cover at the wiper arm pivot point to access the fastening nut. Loosen and remove the nut and washer with a 13mm socket. Replace the wiper and fasten the wiper arm with the original washer and 13mm nut. Snap down the pivot cover. The new blades operate quietly and thoroughly remove water from the front and rear windows.

Solid wiper blades at a reasonable price

The price of these was less than many other brands but I didn't notice a difference at all when installing and using them on my Saab. They were easy to install and function as designed to remove rain. Thankfully, I haven't had to use them to assist with snow removal yet, but I expect them to work just fine.
The wipers work quietly, fit perfectly as explained in the description, and I had no issues with the installation. I am very pleased with the purchase and think these wiper blades compare favorably to more popular brands. I would recommend that you consider these if they make them for your vehicle.

Good wipers

These windshield wipers fit great for the front windshield. The small one will not fit on the back window. I have a 2017 Encore, which is supposed to work.

Crisp wipers, great price point

I bought these to replace the Rain-X wipers I had on my CR-V (which were terrible). Installation was easy, all 3 were the correct size, and I was pleasantly surprised that they actually work very well! Not a streak or drop left behind. Worth every cent! I’ll repurchase regularly!
