While it is but a brief introduction to the many events that have occurred in this great time period of socialist construction, of building up the new life and society in an all-round way, protecting Korean independence and struggling always for national reunification, it is a good summary, an introduction to all these things and the specific events they entail up to 2018. It proves the broad patriotic spirit of the Korean people, their determination to fight and work tirelessly, their devotedness to the Juche idea of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and to the progress of society generally. One can see this in such events as laying the foundations of the socialist economy, the Fatherland Liberation War, the postwar rebuilding and the achievement of socialist relations, the pressure from various great-power revisionists and chauvinists, the Chollima work movement and the Taean work system, the campaigns carried out for the revolutionization of life, the 10-point program for reunification, the development of national culture, the arduous period of the 90s and the development of the Songun doctrine, friendship-building with non-hostile states and settling problems of the Peninsula, and more.
