The Novice Sweater – Mohair Edition has a circular yoke and is worked from the top down with two strands of thin mohair/silk yarn held together throughout.

You will start by knitting the neck ribbing, then the yoke, which is shaped with a total of 4 rounds of increases that are evenly distributed along the length of the yoke. You will then continue with the body of the sweater and finally the sleeves. The sweater is worked in stocking stitch with edges in rib stitch.

Seven Sizes: XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL
The sizes are designed to fit an approximate bust circumference of 80-85 (85-90) 90-95 (95-100) 100-110 (110-120) 120-130 cm

Size guide: The Novice Sweater – Mohair Edition is designed to have approx. 6-12 cm of positive ease, meaning it is designed to be 6cm-12cm larger in circumference than your widest upper body measurement to ensure comfort and allow for wearing layers of clothing underneath the sweater.

Finished Measurements
Bust circumference: 92 (96) 102 (108) 116 (126) 136 cm
Length: 52 (54) 56 (58) 59 (60) 61 cm measured mid back

Gauge: 21 stitches x 28 rows = 10 x 10cm swatch in stocking stitch on 4mm needles with 2 strands of silk mohair held together, after blocking. Please note that knitting with the correct gauge is essential to end up with a garment that has the measurements given in the pattern.

Suggested needles:
Circular needles: 3mm / 40 and 80cm, 4mm / 40, 60 and 80cm needles
Double-pointed needles: 3mm needles, unless using the Magic loop method on the sleeves.

Yarn:  approx. 175 (175-200) 200 (225) 225 (275) 325 grams of a silk mohair yarn based on 212 metres per 25 gram ball.  We suggest using Rowan Kidsilk Haze, Katia 50 Mohair Shades,

Note: Two strands of yarn are held together throughout the pattern. The given yardage amounts are the total yardage required. If you want long sleeves on your sweater, please add an extra 25 grams of yarn for each size.

Pieces chewed off
Color: white & green
My Aussiedoodle loves it. I throw it down the hallway, it bounces crazy, and he chases it. The only complaint is that he can't chew much of the ball part. So now I have to have it put away and brought out for special playtime.

Heavy chewer approved.
Style: Ball, Size: Medium (Pack of 1)
My pomsky will destroy a toy in minutes. Ropes, and the "indestructible" nylon type stuffs are no match for my furry shark. This ball has stood up to him like David. He loves the crunch and it is so much more tolerable than a squeaker. These will be a staple in his toy box - Chuckit toys are really the most durable dog toys I have found in three years.

Dogs love them
Style: Ball, Size: Medium (Pack of 2)
Our dogs love these. What’s great is that you can add more plastic (like from water bottles) if the plastic starts to fall out from the center. If you have a chewer, though, these won’t last you long. Our shepherd mix loves these and then starts to pull the rubber apart the more she plays with it. Our other dogs treat it normally, though, and those ones last forever. They also get some decent height when bounced, and they make a unique whistling noise when thrown.
