Description

The Accumulation Of Capital by Rosa Luxemburg is a landmark work in political economy and Marxist theory, offering a rigorous analysis of capitalism’s expansion and its inherent contradictions. First published in the early twentieth century, this influential text examines the processes through which capital grows and sustains itself within a global economic system.

Luxemburg critically engages with classical economic theories and extends Karl Marx’s analysis by focusing on the role of non-capitalist societies in the accumulation process. She argues that capitalism depends on external markets and continually expands into new territories, raising important questions about imperialism, economic instability, and global inequality.

This edition, translated from the German by Agnes Schwarzschild, preserves the intellectual depth and clarity of Luxemburg’s original work. The introduction by Joan Robinson provides valuable context for contemporary readers.

Rich in economic insight and analytical precision, The Accumulation Of Capital remains essential reading for students of economics, political science, history, and social theory.

You're a chump
The most unique thing about Malcolm X is he never wrote anything, he simply spoke the truth and that alone has proven to withstand the tides of time because his words are still fresh as ever. His speeches always find a way to get to your spirit and makes you rethink the world you are living in. After reading this book, i forget which speech it was exactly, he mentioned something about negores not knowing their history and it was up to them to go forth and reconnect with their homeland. This led me to wonder where I came from. Even though I am not black, I felt as if he was speaking directly to me and this is the kind of power he had. he made you look upon yoyurself and force yourself to ask, "Who am i? And Do I really hate myself?" Racism is still an issue in this country. It has not gone away and malcolm X was never afraid to point out the hypocrisy of the system I was taught to honor and defend. Surely, not one the best books on his speeches out there, but nonetheless powerful enough to get you thinking about the injustice we face everyday. A man who taught you how to be a human being in the end of his life. Today, more than ever his words should never be forgotten.

Malcolm speaks from the heart
"If George Washington didn't get independence for this country nonviolently, and if Patrick Henry didn't come up with a nonviolent statement, and you taught me to look upon them as patriots and heroes, then it's time for you to realize that I have studied your books well..." Malcolm X It is statements like this that make me love reading about Malcolm X. His intelligence, charisma and courage emanate from his words. He inspires, challenges and provokes his listeners to change their thinking. Not only does he challenge others, but he challenges himself to constantly analyze, to constantly evolve. Malcolm X Speaks is an excellent read, from cover to cover. If you want a good idea of where Malcolm was heading before his untimely death, this is the book.
