This mid-telephoto prime lens for mirrorless systems offers a 90mm focal length in an all-metal, compact and lightweight build for incredible versatility. Featuring a high-speed Auto Focus, minimum focusing distance of 50cm and an optical construction that delivers exceptionally beautiful rendered images.

High-speed Auto Focus

The integrated stepping motor drives a smooth, quiet and high-speed Auto Focus, whilst also supporting Face/Eye Detection AF and video AF – beneficial for high-quality, fluent videos with enhanced audio as well as capturing intricate details of the subject. The inner focus system ensures ultimate stability by only using the moveable internal lens elements that adjust focus so the length of the lens barrel doesn’t change. Switch instantly between Auto and Manual focus with the Focus Mode Switch.

Beautifully Rendered Images

The SIGMA 90mm lens features a lens construction of 11 elements in 10 groups, including five SLD (Special Low Dispersion) glass elements and one aspherical lens element. The elements are strategically arranged to ensure there is a significant reduction of optical aberrations such as axial chromatic aberration, whilst also reducing the size and weight of the lens. Images are beautifully rendered with high-resolution and zero colour bleeding.

Reducing Ghosting and Flare

SIGMA’s Super Multi-Layer Coating has been incorporated to minimise ghosting and flare when working with strong light sources such as back lighting. This ensures photographers can consistently produce sharp, high-contrast images across the frame.

Creating Perspective

With a minimum focusing distance of 50cm and maximum magnification ratio of 1:5, the user can achieve close-up macro style photography. Along with the maximum F2.8 aperture, the lens makes use of available light and control over depth of field, whilst being able to perform well in low light conditions. The 9-blade rounded diaphragm enables the photographer to create a smooth, natural blur in out of focus areas (bokeh).

Excellent Durability

As part of SIGMAs contemporary line, this lens is compact, portable and durable. Rubber sealing has been placed on the lens mount to protect it from dust and water drops – ensuring you can shoot outdoors confidently. The brass bayonet mount and all-metal build contributes to the overall durability and robustness of the lens. Including a magnetic metal lens cap.
