From a multi-award-winning pair comes a deeply affecting portrait of determination against discrimination: the story of young spelling champion MacNolia Cox.
MacNolia Cox was no ordinary kid.
Her idea of fun was reading the dictionary.
In 1936, eighth grader MacNolia Cox became the first African American to win the Akron, Ohio, spelling bee. And with that win, she was asked to compete at the prestigious National Spelling Bee in Washington, DC, where she and a girl from New Jersey were the first African Americans invited since its founding. She left her home state a celebrity—right up there with Ohio’s own Joe Louis and Jesse Owens—with a military band and a crowd of thousands to see her off at the station. But celebration turned to chill when the train crossed the state line into Maryland, where segregation was the law of the land. Prejudice and discrimination ruled—on the train, in the hotel, and, sadly, at the spelling bee itself. With a brief epilogue recounting MacNolia’s further history, How Do You Spell Unfair? is the story of her groundbreaking achievement magnificently told by award-winning creators and frequent picture-book collaborators Carole Boston Weatherford and Frank Morrison.

Charming Earring Display
Style: TREE, Style: TREE
I’m using this wooden jewelry tree as a display for my fun earring collection, and I love how cute and creative it looks! It comes in three pieces and is easy to assemble, though I did need a hammer to tap the pieces flush. I wish the earring holes were spaced a bit farther apart in some areas, but overall, it’s a charming and functional stand. Makes a great gift for any jewelry lover!

Not worth the money
Style: TREE
This is certainly NOT worth the money. It arrived broken and not worth fixing. Don't waste your money.

Extremely well-made and solid, holds a lot!
Color: Xy010-bronze
This jewelry organizer is perfect for my needs and it’s really pretty. It has a solid base and feels substantial, especially for the price. I used it for necklaces at first but now I use it for rings because it’s easier to see them when they’re displayed on this tree. It holds a lot of rings and is great for quickly finding which ring(s) you want to wear for the day.

Cute!
Color: XY010-Silver, Color: XY010-Silver
This was exactly what I was looking for. Super functional and the little birds are so cute. Holds many necklaces and seems to be good quality so far. I received and returned several until I found this one - finally I can stop looking! It’s perfect.

Sturdy. Attractive
Color: Xy010-bronze, Color: Xy010-bronze
I really think it’s a pretty and well-made holder…I’m really pleased with the aesthetic design, but it is a bit short. Some of my longer necklaces would not work on that, but I do enjoy it for bracelets, shorter necklaces earrings, and the tray is nice which can be utilized for a variety of things. Overall, I am happy with this purchase.
