The advantage of the LL-Mandrel is in the ability to have just one lap to do all your work, just by cleaning and changing the polishing medium. Your angle-integrity is preserved, as there are no lap changes. Lightning Lap Natural Mandrels can be used with 1200 or finer grit diamond grit, spray or paste. You can also use waxes with oils, water or any kind of oxide polish.

Clean with alcohol and soap & water, before the next polish application. However, most users dedicate a lap to a single polish for fast polish changes; and to reduce polishing medium expense.

The Lightning Lap Mandrels are harder than cast iron and hold your polishing medium on the surface. They are very durable and should last for many years of service.
