Paglierino, con riflessi dorati. Al naso è piacevolmente ampio; spiccano, su tutto, le note floreali. Al palato è allettante, succoso, equilibrato.Il savagnin, com'è noto, è una varietà tipica del Jura; qui, infatti, è impiegata nella produzione del celebre Vin Jaune. Pochi sanno, però, che questo vitigno era un tempo molto diffuso anche nel Palatinato, storica regione della Germania sud-occidentale e oggi, dopo anni in cui gli è stato preferito il gewürztraminer, sta tornando, finalmente, in auge. In questo caso, il Savagnin di Weingut Seckinger è un vino, affinato in legno, articolato e di gran fascino.
Ottimo in abbinamento ai secondi di pesce, può accompagnare anche pollame e carni bianche.
